Yasin Malik starts 30-hour hunger strike in Srinagar

Srinagar, December 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, started a 30-hour long token hunger strike against human rights abuses in Srinagar, today. The JKLF spokesman in a statement said that the hunger strike was being organised at party headquarters Maqbool Manzil, in Srinagar in connection with the International Human Rights Day, observed on December 10, every year.

“On International Human Rights Day, JKLF is holding a 30-hour long token protest hunger strike against human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir. The strike started on December 9 and will continue till the evening of December 10,” the spokesman said. “Kashmiris through this programme will register their protest against gross human rights violations, arrests, torture, oppression, ban on peaceful political activities and continued killing spree in Kashmir by Indian forces,” he added.
