Synoptic Situation

A westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts and likely to intensify next 24 hours.

Sunday

Rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Islamabad, Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, north-east Punjab and North Balochistan. Moderate to isolated heavy snowfall may occur in hilly areas. Isolated heavy falls/hailstorm is also expected in upper parts during the period.

Monday

Rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Islamabad, Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper Punjab. Moderate to isolated heavy snowfall may occur in hilly areas. Isolated heavy falls is also expected in upper parts during the period.

Cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while rain/snow occurred in north Balochistan, north-east Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.

Snowfall (inches): Kalam 06, Drosh 03, Ziarat 02, Chitral and Gupis 01.
