Tension can escalate if Kashmir not resolved: Nayeem Khan

Srinagar, October 02, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir National Front and APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has said the war-like situation created by India could escalate anytime if concrete and practical steps were not taken to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute.

Nayeem Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Instead of war mongering, jingoism and rhetoric, India should behave as a responsible democracy and an accountable nuclear power.”

“India wants to deflect the international pressure and attention from Kashmir. It first staged Uri and now surgical strike drama to divert international attention from Kashmir and get rid of his domestic political problems.”

The APHC leader further said that Indian machinations and designs were highly deplorable and criminal in nature. “Indian state backed by its biased media has created war like situation in Asia only to divert the world attention from the basic humanitarian crisis in Kashmir,” he added.
