Jammu, May 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Residents of Jammu staged a protest against the failure of the occupation regime to regulate electricity and water. Protesters raised slogans like “return our power projects,” “stop selling Jammu’s electricity to Indian states.” They said, “Even on date we are facing a 15 to 20-hour power cut. It’s deplorable. We are suffering and the government seems least bothered about it.”
The protesters said, “Power infrastructure is in shambles. Instead of repairing the existing set up, they are imposing Smart Meters on us. We are asking for electricity, you are resorting to power cuts.” They said, “Instead of power you are giving us bills. First provide electricity to J and K then sell it to Indian states. We have no power, no water.”
