Prime Minister telephones Captain of Pakistan Test Cricket Team

Islamabad, August 15, 2016 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif telephoned Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team Misbah-ul- Haq and congratulated him on the victory of Pakistan Cricket Team in the last test match at Oval against England. The Prime Minister said that this historic win is a gift from the Pakistan Cricket Team to the entire nation on 70th Independence Day of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister especially lauded the historic and extraordinary performances of Younus Khan and Yasir Shah that consolidated Pakistan Cricket Team’s position in the match. The entire team deserves immense appreciation for demonstrating excellent team work, the Prime Minister praised. Though the team levelled the test series yet the win abundantly added to our Independence Day Celebrations the Prime Minister expressed.

Mr. Misbah-ul-Haq thanked the Prime Minister for appreciation and said that the test match win on Independence Day is indeed an achievement for the entire team. We are overwhelmed by the encouragement of the entire nation and the Prime Minister which has further strengthened the team’s morale and spirit, said Misbah-ul-Haq.
