Lahore, August 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar has paid tribute to the unprecedented sacrifices of hundreds of martyrs of Punjab Police on the occasion of Police Martyrs Day. In his special message, IG Punjab said that those who sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace and protecting the lives and property of the citizens are real heroes of Punjab Police and the nation who will never be forgotten by the department.
Faisal Shahkar said that Punjab Police marks 4th August every year as Police Shuhada Day and today is the day of renewing the pledge with martyrs. IG Punjab said that more than 1500 brave martyrs of Punjab Police have sacrificed their lives for maintaining law and order and fighting against criminal elements. He reiterated that the sacrifices of martyrs make us realize that these jawans have sacrificed their lives for our safe future.
IG Punjab said that I salute the mothers of those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the dear country, I salute the families, parents and children of those martyrs whose loved ones attained the great honour of martyrdom.
IG Punjab said that as the Chief of Punjab Police, the best welfare of the martyrs’ families is my first priority. IG Punjab said that on every occasion of happiness and sadness, the police department and the force will never leave their martyrs alone. IG Punjab said that Police Martyrs Day is being observed with honour and respect across the country, including Punjab, and people and personalities from all walks of life are paying homage to the eternal sacrifices of police martyrs.
Faisal Shahkar said that living nations never forget their heroes, police martyrs are our valuable assets whose stories of courage and bravery are a beacon for the entire force. Faisal Shahkar said that today all the police officers and personnel renew the pledge that even if we have to sacrifice more lives for the sake of protecting lives and property of people, we will not hesitate to do so and we will be ready for action every moment. We stand ready and once again pay tribute to the brave martyrs of the Punjab Police who sacrificed their lives.
