Sindh Chief Minister hints at increase in compensation for families of martyred cops

Karachi, August 04, 2017 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed home department to examine the police shuhda’s compensation being given in other province, so that it could be rationalized in Sindh province accordingly. This he said in a message issued on the occasion of Police Shuda Day observed nationwide on Friday.

It may be noted that Sindh government gives Rs5million compensation to the heirs of a martyred cop, while in Punjab the compensation for a Shaheed policeman is Rs5 million and it keeps increasing with the rank/pay scale of Shaheed cops. Shah said that the Sindh government has given 300 acres of land for Shuda’s families in Orangi, Karachi. He directed police department to prepare such a scheme for the heirs of Shuhda in Korangi.
