Shehbaz Sharif stresses need for unity

Lahore, November 23, 2016 (PPI-OT): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that there is a greater need for unity and solidarity in the present situation and those political elements as are dividing the nation should mend their ways. He said that it is time to promote unity to foil nefarious designs of the enemy. He said that it is high time to set aside mutual differences and give a strong message to the enemy through forging unity. He said that violation of Line of Control by India is a threat to peace. He said that Indian forces are resorting to cowardly acts by targeting innocent citizens and the evil face of India has been exposed.

Shehbaz Sharif said that brave armed forces of Pakistan are capable of giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression. He said that Pak Army can defend every inch of the land of the country and is giving a forceful reply to the enemy. He said that enemy of Pakistan is perturbed over CPEC, aimed at progress and prosperity of the country, and is trying to sabotage this project. The Chief Minister said that CPEC is a guarantee to progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its completion will change destiny of the country and a new era of progress and prosperity will usher in.

He said that CPEC project will have to be implemented through maintaining unity and solidarity. Shehbaz Sharif expressed these views while talking to elected representatives who met him here today. Those who called on the Chief Minister included Members National Assembly Syed Javed Ali Shah, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Raja Muhammad Javed Akhlas. Member Provincial Assembly Abdul Rauf Mughal and former MNA Afzal Tarar. Mansha Ullah Butt MPA was also present on the occasion.
