Shabbir hails steadfastness of Kashmiri people

Srinagar, October 10, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained General Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has hailed the resolve and steadfastness of the people during the prevailing hard times.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the oppression has to end one day and that the people of Kashmir will achieve their goal for which they have been fighting for the last 70 years.“We have taken inspiration from Karbala while challenging the mighty power like India,” he added.

He said valley has been turned into Karbala where even a 12-year-old boy was not spared. Even after killing over 100 people in three months, it seems the power-hungry people haven’t quenched their thirst for blood,” he said.

Terming the restrictions on mourning processions as interference in religious affairs, Shabbir Ahmad Shah said the Hurriyet leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi and Ghulam Ahmad Nagoo have been under police detention since three months and are not allowed to participate in Muharram processions.
