Islamabad, February 01, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended seven outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Bhara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Tabraiz involved in drug peddling and recovered 1307 gram heroin from his possession. Likewise, the Ramna police arrested an accused Kashif Marjaan involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Similarly, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Shoukat Khan involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from his possession. Moreover, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Rameen Khan involved in drug peddling and recovered 315 gram hashish from his possession. Noon police team arrested an accused namely Sifat Khan involved in illegally gas refilling.
Furthermore, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Zubair Hussain involved in selling hookahs and sheesha’s. Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Samees Masih and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition and motorbike used in crime from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
