Sehrai concerned about arrest of innocent people in IOK

Srinagar, February 12, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has expressed serious concern over the arrest of innocent people by Indian police from Nowhatta, Sumbal Sonawari and other areas. Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement in Srinagar said that India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation movement through use of brute force.

He said that Indian police had arrested a driver, Nazir Ahmad, in connection with organising Seerat-un-Nabi conference. He said that the sin of driver Nazir Ahmad was that he had hired vehicle to the conference and was not yet released.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said that New Delhi could not weaken the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people by sending them behind the bars. He said that if the arrest spree was not stopped, authorities would be responsible for its untoward consequences.
