Resolution passed by the Federal Cabinet condemning terrorism 

Islamabad, February 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):In the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the federal cabinet unanimously passed a resolution condemning the suicide attack in the mosque of Peshawar Police Lines. The Federal Cabinet, on behalf of the people of Pakistan and their elected government, strongly condemns the tragic incident of terrorism in the mosque of Police Lines Peshawar on 30 January 2023 and extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to all the affected families.

The entire nation is an equal participant in the grief of the families of the martyrs. May Allah grant high ranks to the martyrs, patience to the bereaved and health to the injured?

The federal cabinet makes it clear that those who target Muslims in the house of Allah Ta’ala cannot be Muslims and do not deserve to be called human beings. In the light of the unanimous opinion of the representatives of the Ummah and the learned scholars of the Qur’an and Sunnah and the message of Pakistan, such events are definitely forbidden and are clearly against the orders of Islam.

The Cabinet expresses its firm determination that all forms of terrorism will be completely eradicated and the lives and property of the people will be protected. Every drop of blood of Pakistanis will be counted. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and ‘Counter-Terrorism Department’ will be restructured, quality training, modern weapons and other necessary equipment’s will be provided to avoid such tragedies in the future.

The Cabinet emphasized on all the political forces of the country that national unity, unity and one voice against terrorists is the need of the hour. Keeping political divisions and grudges aside, all political forces should be united in the interest of the country and the people and unanimously gather on the agenda of ending terrorism so that the requirements of national defense, security and peace and economy can be ensured in an effective manner. The Prime Minister thanked the Chinese President and the Prime Minister for the expression of solidarity.
