Lahore, October 30, 2019 (PPI-OT): Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has presided over a high level meeting to review the law and order situation of the province at Punjab House Islamabad today. Provincial Minister for Law Muhammad Basharat Raja, Chief Secretary Punjab, Commissioner, RPO and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and SSP Special Branch were also present on this occasion. Matters pertaining to the security of the participants of the march as well as maintaining law and order in different cities of the province were came under discussion during the meeting.
Sardar Usman Buzdar, while addressing the meeting, said that police and law enforcement agencies should remain alert on the march routes all the time. He further maintained that peaceful protest is a right of political parties but no one will be allowed to take law into one’s hands at any cost. He said that all possible measures will be taken to protect the life and property of the citizens. The meeting also reviewed the security measures being adopted in Rawalpindi in connection with the march.
