Protest to continue if policies remain unchanged: Yasin Malik

Srinagar, June 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has warned that if there is no change in the policy of puppet rulers, the JKLF will announce its second phase of protest soon.

Muhammad Yasin Malik said this in a statement on his release from ten-day detention. The JKLF Chief had courted arrest on May 29 against denial of political space to pro-freedom leadership by the puppet authorities of the occupied territory. Yasin Malik was released on court orders along with more than 100 party leaders and activists. He remained detained at Kothi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar while other detainees were lodged in Central Jail, Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Yasin Malik paid rich tributes to his friend and one of the pioneers of the struggle in Jammu region, late Advocate Syed Sarwar Hussain of Surankote area of Poonch. Remembering the struggle and sacrifices of the deceased, he described him as a sincere leader who fought for the Kashmir cause throughout his life.
