Police complaint filed against Mehbooba Mufti over remarks on Aryan Khan

New Delhi, October 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Delhi-based lawyer has filed a police complaint against former chief minister of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti after she claimed that Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan was being targeted because of his surname, reported India Today.

Mehbooba Mufti had tweeted: “Instead of making an example out of a Union minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23-year-old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that Muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJP’s core vote bank.”

After this, a Delhi-based lawyer filed a complaint, saying that Mufti should be charged under different sections of the Indian Penal Code for attempting to create enmity between communities. According to the complaint, her comment was an “inciting statement which intends to create animosity and unrest among communities.”
