Islamabad, April 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he is “puzzled at the cacophony” over Pakistan not being invited to a conference on climate change in the United States. In a series of tweets today, he said his government’s environment policies are driven solely by the commitment to our future generations of a clean and green Pakistan to mitigate the impact of climate change.

He said our initiatives include Green Pakistan, Ten Billion Tree Tsunami, nature based solutions, cleaning up rivers etc. We have gained vast experience in seven years beginning with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said our policies are being recognized and lauded. He said Pakistan is ready to help any state wanting to learn from our experience. The Prime Minister said he has already laid out priorities for the UN Climate Change Conference 2021 – COP26 – if the international community is serious about countering impact of climate change.
