Islamabad, January 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Foreign Office has said that Pakistan will continue to extend unstinted moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their quest for self-determination in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions. Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, responding to the queries of media persons at her weekly news briefing in Islamabad, today, said the Indian forces killed 214 Kashmiris, fifty-seven of them in custody or in fake encounters, during the last year.
She said, only last week, four individuals were killed in a fake encounter in Sidhra town in Jammu. She said, there are reports that bodies were charred beyond recognition. She urged the international human rights machinery and organizations to take note of this tragedy. The spokesperson said over four thousand Kashmiris remain imprisoned in different jails in IIOJK and India. Political prisoners and human rights defenders continued to be targeted and incarcerated, she deplored.
