Pakistan civil society condemns Indian terrorism in IOK

Islamabad, April 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):A coalition of Pakistani civil society organizations held a peaceful protest in Islamabad against the recent killing of innocent civilians in Handwara area of occupied Kashmir and the harassment of Kashmiri students at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, and in India. The protest was organized by the international lobbying group, Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK).

Young activists, human rights defenders and lobbyists belonging to YFK, Positive Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Students Organization (JKSO), Insaf Students Federation (ISF), People’s Youth Organization (PYO), Baloch Students, Muslim Students Federation-N (MSF-N), Anjuman Talaba Islam (ATI) and Youth Association of Pakistan (YAP) gathered to show solidarity with the brave people of occupied Kashmir.

The protesters holding banners and placards chanted slogans against Indian occupation, brutalities and atrocities in the occupied territory. They also criticized Indian film star, Anupam Kher, for supporting the Hindu extremists of BJP against the Kashmiris.
