Islamabad, February 07, 2023 (PPI-OT):On the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a special plane carrying relief goods will leave for Turkey at 10 o’clock tonight. The C-130 aircraft will carry the Army’s search and rescue team from Chaklala Air Base and will directly reach the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey.
On the morning of February 7, a PIA flight will depart for Turkey with 50 people and 15 tons of goods. Rescue 1122 officials are included in the team. On February 7, Lahore C130 aircraft will depart for Istanbul, Turkey with 7 tons of relief goods. Relief equipment includes winter tents, blankets and other essential items.
From February 8, 15 tons of relief goods will be sent to Turkey and Syria from Islamabad and Lahore every day through PIA flights. Ministry of Health and Army medical teams will be sent to Turkey and Syria.
