Nouman Ahmad Langrial condemns Taliban’s shooting Malala Yousafzai

Islamabad, October 10, 2012 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing Malik Nouman Ahmad Langrial strongly condemned dastardly Taliban attack on Malala Yousafzai, a 14 year old winner of National Peace Award. He has expressed his serious concern over this heinous act of Taliban who are enemy of Pakistan, Islam and humanity.

The Minister has taken this attack on the daughter of the nation as “coward and disgusting”. He stated that these cruel people want to take the country towards anarchy and that is not possible till that time we have such new energetic and brave generation. He further valued her achievements of writing a blog on the BBC Urdu Website and her features in two New York Times documentaries.

The Minister of State held a telephonic conversation with father of Malala Yousafzai and said that Malala is “an icon of peace” and termed this incident as gross injustice to a girl who is serving her nation since very younger age.

He stated that by her constructive and productive activities for promoting education for girls in Sawat Malala has given a sense of fear to Taliban who are against education, civilization and particularly women empowerment.

While denouncing this brutal act the Minister demanded strict action against the perpetrators and termed it as a failure of law enforcement agencies. The Minister eulogized the steps of the President Asif Ali Zardari and the Speaker Assembly Doctor Fehmida Mirza to sent Malala abroad for better treatment and he also prayed for her soon recovery.
