Masarrat Aalam Butt sent to Baramulla sub-jail on judicial remand

Srinagar, April 10, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a Srinagar court has sent senior Hurriyet leader Masarrat Aalam Butt to Sub Jail Baramulla on 11-day judicial remand. The court of Third Munsif bailed Masarrat in FIR No. 7/2010. The Muslim League spokesman in a statement said that Masarrat Aalam was shifted to Shaheed Gunj and then to Sub Jail Baramulla on 11-days judicial remand.

The spokesman said Aalam’s health is deteriorating with every passing day for remaining behind the bars. Masarrat Aalam Butt is facing illegal detention since 2010. He was released in March 2015 but only after 40 days he was rearrested. Meanwhile, the Muslim League condemned the desecration of graves in Kareemabad Pulwama and demanded action against the forces involved.
