Majority of officers absent during Chief Minister’s visit to Secretariat 

Karachi, February 10, 2020 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday morning paid surprise visit to offices of different secretaries at Tughlaq House (old Secretariat) and checked attendance. He started his visit from Home department where all officers, including Home secretary were not present. When the chief minister visited the office of agriculture department almost all the staff, including secretary agriculture was absent.


He expressed displeasure and went to different offices of the department and found most of the officers and staff absent. He also visited the offices of Labour, Transport and Irrigation department at Tughlaq House and found almost all the secretaries, except Secretary Labour absent. The chief minister also visited Education department and found that all the officers were also absent.


At PandD the chief minister was received by Chairman PandD M Waseem who was present. He took him around his floor where he found most of the chiefs and members were absent. On his return, the chief minister visited Local Government Department and found all the staff members, mostly the senior ones were absent from the duty.


The chief minister visited biometric unit and asked them to send him a detailed list of the staff who were present and those who were late. The chief minister along with Chairman PandD Mohammad Waseem also visited under-construction car parking at SM Law College near Sindh Secretariat. The chief minister directed Chairman PandD to expedite completion of the parking and adjoining recreational area.
