Peshawar, December 26, 2018 (PPI-OT): On the directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood, under the National Action Plan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have rounded up 250877 suspects and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions being conducted throughout the province against criminals and anti-social elements.
As per details, a total of 14599 search and strike operations were conducted in different parts of the Province during the current year in which 97829 suspects were arrested and recovered 18079 arms of different kind and 351487 cartridges of different bore. During the operations, 484536 houses were checked and 13817 FIRs were registered for non-submission of tenant information forms. Similarly 1560 FIRs were lodged against hotels for non-verification of guests. Likewise security inspections of educational institutions were also carried out and 926 FIRs were registered against educational institutions for insecurity arrangements.
During snap checking on 100476 check points, a total of 153048 suspects were held and recovered 12364 arms of different kind and 287486 rounds of different bore. In action against illegal immigrants, a total of 317 Afghans were detained on the charges of without registration and valid documents. Similarly, 2725 FIRs were registered on misuse of loud speaker and 2908 persons were taken into police custody.
The police also lodged 406 FIRs against bus terminals for insufficient security arrangements. Moreover in action against fake CNICs, a total of 3343 persons were booked on charges of fake CNICs, its attesters and facilitators. 4 hate materials were also seized by police and 17 persons were arrested. 4 FIRs were registered against Cinemas owners and 3763 FIRs were registered for insufficient security arrangements for vulnerable establishment and places.
