Khan Sopori sent to Kotbhalwal jail under PSA

Srinagar, March 26, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, police arrested leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori and booked him under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, who is suffering from several ailments, has been sent to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

He condemned his illegal arrest, adding that the authorities have no justification to book him under the draconian law and sent him to Kotbhalwal jail where he had to live under severe conditions.

Meanwhile, Hurriyet AJK leader Engineer Mushtaq Mehmood addressing media in Muzaffarabad denounced the arrest and shifting of 80-year-old Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori to notorious Kotbhalwal jail in Jammu. He said that Indian authorities first deprived Khan Sopori of his house and now arrested him under draconian Public Safety Act.
