Houston, September 20, 2019 (PPI-OT): Kashmiris, Khalistanis and their sympathizers will hold anti-India protest demonstrations and rallies in Houston, Texas, on Sunday (September 22) on the occasion of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit. Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a joint rally with the US President, Donald Trump, in Houston on Sunday.
Kashmiri and Khalistani activists have already made their presence felt with a dress-rehearsal of tractor-trailer trucks decorated with flags and protest signs that started from Sikh National Centre in Houston to the NRG Centre, the venue of the rally to be addressed by Modi.
But half a kilometre from the venue will be people of Indian and Pakistani origin, who will be joined by Americans belonging to different faiths. Under the banner of “Alliance of Justice and Accountability”, they will stage a sit-in protest against the repeal of special status of occupied Kashmir by the Indian government, an organizer of the event told media.
Sikh representative organization Sikhs for Justice, which was banned by India on July 10, aims to push for “Sikh Referendum: 2020” at the rally that will be attended by Khalistanis and Kashmiris.
