Srinagar, June 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Anjuman Shari Shian and the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) observed Jumatul Vida, last Friday of Ramadan, as Al-Quds and Kashmir Day. President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi addressed a massive gathering in connection with Youm-e-Qudus in Budgam.
Thousands of people joined the “Youm-ul-Quds and “Youm-e-Kashmir” rallies. The participants were holding placards in their hands that displayed the quotes in support of Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, Kashmir and anti-US and Israel slogans were written.
On the call of JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akber Butt, party leaders passed resolutions for end to military occupation in Palestine and Kashmir in dozens of mosques across the territory. Calling upon the people to show complete resolve and commitment towards the ongoing resistance movement, Zafar Akber Butt in a special message appealed the world rights bodies and international community to take serious note of the Indian terrorism in the territory.
The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement on Jumatul Vida observed Youmi Quds and Youmi Kashmir and held protest demonstrations at different places against the Zionist forces. It demanded result-oriented dialogue over Kashmir to pave way for peace in the South Asian region. “From the beginning this has been the stance of the Hurriyat leadership that Kashmir is a political and human issue, which cannot be resolved through military might.
Meanwhile, Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen also observed Al-Quds and Kashmir Day and held rallies in Srinagar, Pattan and other areas. Party leaders including Masroor Abbas Ansari led the rallies. The participants were holding banners and placards in their hands and were raising high-pitched slogans against India and in favour of freedom.
