JKPM leader condemns attack on nomad family in Jammu

Mirpur, April 24, 2017 (PPI-OT): The leader of APHC-AJK Chapter and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik has strongly condemned the attack by cow vigilantes on a nomad family in Reasi district of Jammu.

At least five people, including a nine-year-old girl, were injured when Hindu fanatics attacked a nomad family, which was moving with their livestock near Talwara area in Reasi on Saturday. The attackers had also taken along the entire flock including goats, sheep and cows.

Abdul Majeed Malik addressing a meeting of Kashmiri refugees in Mirpur said that the incident was an act on the pattern of genocide of Jammu Muslims conducted in 1947 by Hindu extremists, forces of Dogra Maharaja and Indian Army to change the demography of occupied Kashmir. He said that Narendra Modi-led Indian government wanted to further the RSS agenda of genocide in the territory and it had launched it from Reasi.

Abdul Majeed Malik urged the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities on the innocent people of occupied Kashmir. He also condemned the statement of BJP leader, Subramaniam Swami, against the Kashmiri people. Swami had suggested that Kashmir should be depopulated, the Kashmiris should be sent to refugee camps in Tamil Nadu and pro-freedom people should be bombarded to curb the protests in occupied Kashmir.

The Hurriyet leader said that BJP was planning mass killing of Muslims but the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle could not be suppressed through such intimidations and threats.
