Muzaffarabad, July 31, 2016 (PPI-OT):The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), held a big awareness rally in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, today, against the wave of killings and use of pellets by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. Led by party Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, the JKPFL activists, Kashmiri migrants, civil society members and political, religious and social activists participated in the rally. The AJK President, Sardar Yaqoob Khan and PML-N leader, Zahid Ameen also participated in the Kashmir awareness rally.The participants were holding anti-India and pro-freedom placards and banners depicting pellets victims and were raising high-pitched anti-India slogans while marching main city of Muzaffarabad to Press Club where several leaders addressed the rally.
The rally condemned the atrocities of Indian armed forces on the innocent Kashmiri people and demanded immediate end to Indian state terrorism. The JKPFL Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, addressing the rally demanded intervention of the United Nations and withdrawal of Indian troops from occupied Kashmir to facilitate plebiscite in the disputed territory. He said that people of Kashmir were facing immense problems in the Valley due to continued curfew and communication blockade. He said that the world should put pressure on India to stop pellets on peaceful protesters in Kashmir. He said that the Indian forces, under a conspiracy, are using pellets to blind the youth of Kashmir forever. Indian troops are not treating Kashmiri people as humans, he added. He said that the world should feel the pain of Kashmiri oppressed people who were bravely facing the Indian repression.
