JKEM expresses gratitude to Pak Govt, people

Srinagar, August 06, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement (JKEM), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has thanked the people and government of Pakistan for expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of the territory.

A spokesman for JKEM in a statement issued in Srinagar said the people of Pakistan have been expressing solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren for the last over 72 years. He said by observing the 5th August as Youm-e-Istehsal in Pakistan and across the world, the Pakistanis showed that they are with their Kashmiri brethren against the oppressive rule of India and will continue to support the Kashmiris until they achieved their right to self-determination.

The spokesman said a year ago, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to become the ambassador of Kashmiris in the world and he became the ambassador of Kashmir in a true sense. Prime Minister Imran Khan raised voice for the Kashmiris at every forum including the United Nations, he added.

“Both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers and a big or small accident between the two countries can be the prelude to a major war. God forbid, if there is a war this time, it will not be a conventional war but a nuclear war that could engulf the whole world. Therefore, the international community should play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute,” he said. The spokesman appealed to the international community to play role in resolving the lingering dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
