Iram Shaheen Malik appreciates Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’s efforts to bring women enterprises in main stream of trade and industry

Lahore, December 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): Mrs. Iram Shaheen Malik, President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appreciated SMEDA and TDAP efforts to bring women enterprises in the main stream of trade and industry. It was stated by her while speaking as Chief Guest on second day of the SME Pavilion set up by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) at the 12th SAARC Trade Fair and 9th WEXNET-2015 opened on Friday. A large number of the women entrepreneurs as well as senior officials of SMEDA were present on this occasion.

President WCCI appreciated the quality and display style of the products related to Textile, Leather, Interior Designing, Jewellery, hand-made embroidery, Cosmetics and Handicrafts in the SME Pavilion. She urged upon the women entrepreneurs to introduce their products in the international market so as to enhance national exports. She hoped that the current WEXNET held in conjunction with SAARC Trade Fair would prove to be a milestone in this regard. She expressed all out support to SMEDA for holding training programs on “How to Export” for women.

CEO SMEDA Mr. Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry, exchanging his views with the Chief Guest assured the fullest support of his organization to promote entrepreneurship among women and invited WCCI to have partnership in making such programs a real success. He told that the SME Pavilion was comprised of 14 stalls, which were equipped with the women made products from Haripur and Peshawar. We have brought the women entrepreneurs outside Lahore, who were unable to participate in the WEXNET without professional support of SMEDA, he added.
