IOK people urged to remembers martyrs’ families on Eid

Srinagar, June 23, 2017 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Hurriyet leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has appealed to the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with simplicity and remember those families whose nears and dears have been martyred by Indian troops. Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in his message from Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu said that hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri youth had rendered their lives but did not compromise on their birthright to self-determination.

He also demanded unconditional and immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails. Meanwhile, the Jamiat Ahle-Hadees of occupied Kashmir in a high-level meeting in Srinagar expressed resentment over the curbs on Eid prayers in Eidgahs.

It said that Eid prayers had been offered in TRC Ground in Srinagar since decades but like past year, this year too, Eid prayers in the ground had been banned which was condemnable. The participants of the meeting described it interference in the religious affairs of Muslim, adding that it could not be tolerated. They also demanded release of all political detainees before Eid-ul-Fitr.
