IOK people asked to maintain harmony in their ranks

Srinagar, October 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a special meeting of the Shia-Suni Coordination Committee in connection with Muharram was held in Srinagar with President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, in chair. Leaders, representatives and activists of several religious, political, social and welfare organizations participated in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the speakers urged the Kashmiris to maintain harmony among their ranks. They said that the enemies of Islam had tried time and again to divide people and create rifts among the Muslims of the territory on religious lines. They said that it was need of the hour to foil all conspiracies of such elements with unity.

The meeting on the occasion passed a resolution, which said that every effort of the anti-Islam elements against the unity and brotherhood among different sects would be frustrated. Those who spoke on the occasion included Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Altaf Shah, JKLF leaders, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed and Noor Mohammad Kalwal, President of Anjuman Himayat-ul-Islam, Maulana Khurshid Ahmad, JKNF Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and DFP representative, Engineer Farooq Ahmad. The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir, Zahid Ali, also participated in the meeting. Hakeem Abdur Rasheed moderated the meeting.
