IOK doctors hold protest march against Indian terrorism

Srinagar, July 29, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, dozens of doctors assembled at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar and held a protest march against use of force and brutal killing of innocent people by Indian forces in the territory. Dr Burhan Bazaz, who led the protest demonstration, while talking to media persons said, “The use of force and lethal weapons against peaceful protesters in Kashmir is highly condemnable. The killing of over 50 protesters by Indian forces is the murder of over 50 families.” He said that being doctors, they could feel the pain of the bullet and pellet victims and what it cost a doctor to treat the injured.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the doctors said that the protest was organised in solidarity with the victims of Indian state terrorism and it was a message to the world community that Kashmiris were united against atrocities committed on them by India. “The ongoing movement is supported by all sections of society irrespective of their status,” the statement said. Later in the day, the statement added, Dr Burhan Bazaz held a free medical camp at Badamwari in Hawal area of Srinagar where people in huge numbers from adjacent areas got free medical consultation along with free medicines.
