National Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform meets

Islamabad, April 05, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform met today at Old PIPS Hall, Parliament Lodges under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, MNA. The committee was informed that on the direction of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, 13 hospitals are being constructed out of 46 in the first phase of Public Private Partnership Program. In addition, the construction of 250 beds hospital in Chitral has been delayed owing to the land issues.

The committee recommended that the poverty survey would be conducted in order to scrutinize the Benazir Income Support Program Cards given to the needy people. Moreover, there are 35 projects in total out of which 28 are complete under the Federal Program under Access to Justice Program. The Committee appreciated the efforts of Chairman WAPDA on timely completion of 132 K.V. Grid Station and Transmission Lines of Golan Goal Project.

MNAs, Ch Jaffar Iqbal, Ms. Shazia Sohail Mir, Sayed Muhammad Athar Hussain Shah Gillani, Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Ms Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Ms Shaheen Shafiq, Mrs Shamas-un-Nisa, Mr Qaiser Jamal, Sheikh Salahuddin, Ms Asiya Nasir Mr. Junaid Akbar, Mr. Sher Akber Khan, Mr. Iftikhar-ud-Din, attended the meeting, besides officials of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform.
