Srinagar, July 07, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami has said that fanatic Hindu forces soon after the BJP-PDP regime came to power started conspiracies against communal harmony in the territory. The Jamaat-e-Islami at its meeting, which was presided by party President Muhammad Abdullah Wani in Srinagar said that these communal forces were hell-bent upon sabotaging the Muslim majority character of Kashmir and the identity of Muslims in the territory.
The meeting discussed the anti-religion activities being promoted under the patronage of the puppet administration and called upon religious scholars to raise their voice against it. Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader Javed Ahmad Mir in a statement said BJP was sparking communal tension through assertion the people like Nirmal Singh were making. He said that Singh’s statement on Amarnath Yatra was far from the truth and had only been issued to create communal tension in the region.
