Lahore, September 01, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 130300 cusecs and Outflows 140000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 17400 cusecs and Outflows 17400 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 26300 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 52400 cusecs and Outflows 20500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 172900 cusecs and Outflows 164900 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 163800 cusecs and Outflows 170000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 168500 cusecs and Outflows 147600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 26700 cusecs and Outflows 15200 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 155100 cusecs and Outflows 143700 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 138400 cusecs and Outflows 99800 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 62100 cusecs and Outflows 55900
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1541.56 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.691 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1230.00feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.468 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.00feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.200 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
