Indian police vandalize JKLF office in Kupwara

Srinagar, February 08, 2017 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has said that Indian police vandalized its office in Kupwara district where preparations were being made for the Martyrs’ Week.

The JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said, “Police raided the district office of the party in Kupwara and besides vandalizing, they took away everything that was present in the office.”

JKLF district body had called for a meeting for giving final touches to all programmes in connection with the 11th February, the martyrdom anniversary of prominent martyred liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, he statement said.

“Though the meeting was being held outside the office, but police raided the office, broke doors and windows and took away everything present in the office with them,” the spokesman added.

Terming this police highhandedness as an act of blatant violence, the JKLF said that this police action was glaring example of frustration of the puppet rulers.
