Islamabad, June 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi has started a hunger strike at Varanasi jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh against the highhandedness of jail authorities. This was disclosed by his representative and APHC-AJK leader Abdul Majeed Lone in a statement in Islamabad. He said that Abdul Samad Inqilabi has gone on hunger strike in protest against inhumane treatment of Hurriyat leaders and workers illegally detained in Indian jails.
Inqilabi is suffering from various ailments and has recently been transferred from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu, to a narrow and dark cell of Varanasi Jail in Uttar Pradesh where he is subjected to physical and mental torture. The jail authorities are not shifting him to hospital despite being serious ill.

He appealed to all local and international human rights organizations to play their role in saving life of detained Hurriyat leaders.
Meanwhile, Chairman, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement in Muzaffarabad denounced the Modi regime in India for banning schools run by Falah Aam in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He deplored that brutal order by the regime has deprived thousands of orphan children from getting quality education free of cost.
