Head constable commits suicide in IOK

Srinagar, January 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a police head constable has committed suicide in Udhampur.

The head constable, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, shot himself with his service rifle AK-47 inside District Police Lines of Udhampur.

This incident raised the number of such deaths among the Indian troops and police personnel to 296 since January 2007.

On the other hand, a 30-year-old man identified as Joginder Kumar, working at Indian Army officers’ mess in Udhampur district, died mysteriously. He received a severe shock at Army officers’ mess at Rehmble area in Udhampur, a police officer claimed.

Meanwhile, massive search operation continued on fourth consecutive day, today, in Marbel, Chirhar, Hard Shiva, Yemberzal, Rishipora, Rampur and Rajpur of Cherhar in Sopore. Indian army and paramilitary forces while restricted the movement of the people used helicopters.
