Glowing tributes paid to Gaw Kadal martyrs

Srinagar, January 21, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Gaw Kadal and said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri would not go waste. The Hurriyat forum spokesman in a statement in Srinagar, paying rich tributes to Gawkadal massacre victims on their anniversary, , today said, “The Kashmiri people have been offering unprecedented sacrifices for a great and sacred cause of right to self-determination, which is their birthright.”

He also castigated the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of India for issuing summon to Hurriyat leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah’s wife, terming it a political vendetta. Condemning it, the spokesman said, “These bids are only to build pressure on the resistance leadership to give up their struggle but the genuine and peaceful struggle of Kashmiris will continue till it reaches its goal.”

Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Tahoor Siddiqi, today, visited the site of Gawkadal massacre where they paid glowing tribute to the martyrs. A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) including Imtiaz Ahmad Shah, Arshad Aziz, Arshad Hussain also visited Gawkadal and paid glowing tribute to the martyrs.

The Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone in his statement in Srinagar, paying the tribute to the victims of Gaw Kadal massacre, said that the purpose of human rights abuses in Kashmir by India was only to suppress freedom struggle but India would never succeed.

Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, Bilal Sidiqee, Qazi Ahmed Yasir, Ghulam Nabi War and the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) in their statements in Srinagar, remembering the martyrs of Gaw Kadal massacre, said that the people of Kashmir would always remember their sacrifices.

They said struggle for Kashmir liberation from usurper India would continue till success. They said that the massacres served an eye-opener for the international community and urged the human rights organizations to impress India to investigate the tragedies and book those involved in the heinous crimes.
