Gilani hosts Iftar dinner in honour of Mirwaiz, Malik

Srinagar, July 12, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint resolution warned India of a joint protest movement if New Delhi continues with its state terrorism in the territory. The announcement was made during an Iftar dinner hosted by Syed Ali Gilani in honour of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and others at his residence in Srinagar.

The leaders had already announced to hold a joint rally on Kashmir Martyrs Day, tomorrow. Reading out the joint resolution on the occasion, Ayaz Akbar, the spokesperson for the forum led by the veteran leader, said, “If civilian killings and arrest of youth were not stopped the pro-freedom leadership would ask people to come out on the roads and run a joint and organized movement against the state terrorism unleashed by India and its stooges in Kashmir.”

“The dangerous policies of communal organizations like RSS, BJP, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, VHP and Congress about the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir will be resisted jointly,” the resolution said adding, “The Jammu Muslims are prime target and communal forces are planning to eliminate their identity and existence by unabated use of state power and machinery.” “We will neither leave our Jammu brethren at the mercy of these forces, nor will anybody be allowed to repeat the painful history of 1947,” the resolution read.

Condemning the crackdown and search operations by troops, the resolution said: “Since the inception of the PDP-BJP coalition set-up, the graph of human rights violations has witnessed an alarming increase and the life of common man has been made hell.” The leaders reaffirmed their pledge to continue the struggle till the people of Kashmir were given the opportunity to decide their future.
