Forum warns authorities against sacrilegious acts

Srinagar, July 21, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has strongly condemned the sacrilegious act of burning a flag inscribed with Kalima Tayyeba by activists of Vishva Hindu Parishad in Rajouri district and has demanded stern action against the culprits.

The forum in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that with the installation of BJP-PDP coalition government in the occupied territory, the Jammu region particularly was witnessing surge in anti-Muslim activities and the Muslims were being harassed and terrorized one way or the other.

It warned of dire consequences if anti-Muslim activities were not stopped in the region. The forum said that the burning of the flag did not take place accidentally; rather it was a well-thought out plan to hurt the sentiments of Muslims and foment communal hatred in the area.

The forum said that RSS and its sister organizations were pursuing the policy of purging the Jammu region of Muslims and such acts were part of their game plan. It maintained that the Muslims of Jammu would not be left at the mercy of the BJP-PDP administration and every step would be taken for their safety and security.
