The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry was the chief guest of the opening ceremony organized by the All Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir branch on the occasion of Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination Day whereas APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar chaired the function. The speakers assured the Kashmiris engaged in the struggle for freedom from Indian rule in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir that all possible measures will be taken to liberate Jammu and Kashmir from the illegal occupation of India and to free them from the worst Indian state terrorism
The speakers described Muhammad Farooq Rahmani’s book as factual and eye-opener. Among the speakers were Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Abdul Rasheed Turabi, and Executive Director of Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Murtaza Qureshi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Farzana Yaqub, Irshad Mehmood, Mujeeb Qazi and Altaf Hussain Wani.
Hasan Albana acted as moderator. On this occasion, Advocate Nasir Qadri from Legal Forum for Kashmir presented a report based on war crimes in IIOJK. Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl in his WhatsApp message from London, read by APHC-AJK General Secretary, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, praised the eloquent and objective style of the book and appreciated its role in the freedom struggle.
Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, the author of the book, thanked the guests for their arrival and speeches. He emphasized on the renewal of the pledge and said that the stance of Kashmiris is right and Hindutva is completely false. Pakistan’s role will be decisive to strengthen their position and mobilize the United Nations, he maintained.
