Facilitating Afghan Traders to increase trade volume between Pakistan and Afghanistan: Khattak

Islamabad, December 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak has said facilitating the Afghan Traders would increase trade volume between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Chairing the 7th meeting of Executive Committee of Pakistan Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship Group in Islamabad today (Monday), he said that implementing the recommendations of Pak-Afghan Trade and Investment Forum 2020 will facilitate the traders on both side of the borders.

He said promoting health tourism will be helpful in bringing substantial revenue for Pakistani exchequer especially facilitating the hurdle free entry for Afghan patients. He said livestock export be regularized and bring under enforcement by relevant government agencies.

The Interior and Commerce Ministries informed the Committee that introduction of new visa category and trade dispute Resolution mechanism. While deliberating upon the recommendation of the Forum related with increasing PIA Flights between both countries, Special Envoy for Afghanistan Sadiq Khan said that the fares need to be standardized as per international standards.
