Lahore, November 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):Executive Director Punjab Council of Arts (PUCAR) Saman Rai held a meeting with heads of culture departments of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan at Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi.
The meeting was attended by Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Waqar Ahmed, Director Sindh Department of Culture Habibullah, General Manager Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Culture and Tourism Sajjad Hameed, Assistant Director Culture Liaquat Ali, Assistant Director Gilgit-Baltistan Salman Paras, Deputy Director Sajjad Hussain and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, it was decided that Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi would host a culture show, depicting the culture of all parts of the country and it would be held on Saturday, November 6. Executive Director Saman Rai said that culture was the source of unity in the country and the Punjab government was striving for the promotion of culture of all parts of the country and a comprehensive plan has also been drawn in this regard.
She said that Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi was working for the promotion of Pothohar culture and its services and performance were commendable. She said that due to its proximity to the federal capital, Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi was providing a platform where the culture of the four provinces and all parts of the country including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan would be presented to the people. On this occasion, artists performed folk songs of their respective areas in the auditorium of Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi.
