Lahore, May 03, 2017 (PPI-OT)Faisalabad District Bar Association delegation led by its President Rana Ali Abbas Khan called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here today and discussed matters relating to the provision of justice to the common man and other matters of mutual interest. Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that legal fraternity has played a vital role in ensuring the supremacy of law and justice. He said lawyers have rendered immense sacrifices for the restoration of democracy and free judiciary, and their role in this regard cannot be ignored. He said economic and social justice is indispensible for the development of any society and lawyers should play their role in a more effective manner for the provision of justice to the common man.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is working hard to complete public welfare and development projects in the province under a comprehensive program. He said that Punjab government has set new tradition of savings in development projects. He said work is in progress on billions of rupees development and public welfare projects in Lahore and basic facilities will be provided in Faisalabad on priority basis. He said to resolve parking problems, funds for a car parking will be earmarked in the next budget. He assured the lawyers’ community that its problems will be resolved on the priority basis.
The head of the delegation, Rana Abbas Ali Khan, on the occasion, assured the Chief Minister that we are standing with the Punjab government for democracy and the provision of justice to the common man. Governor Punjab Rafique Rajwana, Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Special Assistant Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, MPA Sheikh Ijaz Ahmed, concerning officials, Secretary Faisalabad Bar Association Mian Mehran Tahir, Member Punjab Bar Council Malik Javed Awan, Vice President Faisalabad Bar Rana Muhammad Zulfiqar, Joint Secretary Ch. Abu Bakar Abdullah and executive members of the Bar were also present on the occasion.
