Concern raised over non-production of Samad Inqilabi in court

Srinagar, May 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi has expressed serious concern over the non-production of its illegally detained Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, in the court and termed it as frustration of the authorities.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi has been languishing in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

The spokesman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that in order to prolong illegal detention of Abdul Samad Inqilabi, he was not presented before the court in Kupwara today. The court has fixed May 23 as next date of the hearing in the fake case registered against the detained leader.

The spokesman appealed to the world human rights organizations including Amnesty International and International Committee of Red Cross to take notice of continued illegal detention of Abdul Samad Inqilabi and other Hurriyat leaders and activists and play role in their immediate release.
