CIA Islamabad busts criminal’s gang

Islamabad, March 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has busted a gang involved in numerous incidents of snatching, a police spokesman said. He said that DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar had assigned a task to CIA police to start a massive crackdown against those involved in street crimes.

Following these directions, SSP (Investigation) Ata Ur Rehman constituted special team under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including SI Zafar Iqbal, ASIs Safdar Hussain Fiaz Ahmad and others who accelerate their efforts against criminals and succeeded to bust a four members gang involved in street crimes in areas of Shamas Colony, Golra Shareef and Industrial Area police stations. The accused are identified as Waqar Ali, Javed, Abdullah, Rizwan Shamraiz and Shehbaz Ahmad.

Police teams have also recovered three snatched mobile phones, stolen bike, weapons and a bike used for crime. During preliminary investigation, the accused have confessed their involvement in numerous incidents, further investigation is underway. DIG (Operations) has appreciated this performance of CIA police and announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for them.
