Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar, said, “The armed forces have now resorted to extreme oppression and brutality as they are burning down the paddy harvest and also damaging apple orchards in north as well as south Kashmir.”
This is an extreme level of brutality. The forces including police are now burning down paddy harvest so that people are forced to stop resisting against the illegal occupation. Actually, India is feeling the heat and is frustrated as it is witnessing how J and K is slipping away from its forcible clutches,” today.
“The forces at many places were damaging properties to pressurize people. Recently, a house of a resident of Frisal (Kulgam) area was razed to rubble by the forces. Besides, the world is aware how these forces killed almost 90 of our children since the beginning of ongoing uprising,” she said.
“This movement has now spread across Kashmir and is gaining momentum with every passing day. Chenab Valley, the Pirpanjal range and every person from the majority community is with the movement now. Kishtwar is under curfew and the people there have been forced to remain indoors for the past four days. Many persons in Chenab Valley have been booked under PSA,” she said.
