Beef ban part of larger conspiracy: Hurriyet leader

Srinagar, September 29, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Mazahmat, Bilal Siddiqi has said that beef ban is a part of larger conspiracy to suppress the sentiments of Muslims community in the territory. Bilal Siddiqi in a media interview in Srinagar said that separate colonies for retired India army soldiers and for Pandits were all part of this conspiracy. He said that Indian government was following the diktats of radical Hindu organisations.

In reply to a question he said that democracy was fake in Kashmir and holding of elections was a state-managed affair. Our fate is yet undecided as Jammu and Kashmir is a political dispute, he added. Meanwhile, Independent member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdul Rasheed has launched campaign against beef ban in border town of Mendhar in Poonch district. He addressed the people and sought support from the member of the so-called assembly from the area on a bill, which he has moved in the House seeking the lifting of ban on beef.
